Meet the only club Liverpool have never beaten in the history of the Premier League

Since the Premier League era began in 1992, Liverpool has been an ever-present side in the division.

So much so that they have played the most matches in the Premier League era, alongside Manchester United, Chelsea, Everton, Tottenham and Arsenal.

Despite their longevity in the Premier League, there is a team Liverpool have failed to beat since 1992 to date.

Liverpool has played against over 47 different teams and has beaten them at least once in the Premier League.

However, Blackpool remains an exception.

Blackpool is the only side Liverpool have failed to beat in the history of the Premier League.

Both sides met during the 2010/2011 Premier League season, with Blackpool winning both legs of the encounter.

Their first meeting was on October 3, 2010, at Anfield. Charlie Adam and Luke Varney first-half strikes opened a two-goal lead for the away side, Blackpool.

Although Sotiris Kyrgiakos grabbed a goal for Liverpool in the 53rd minutes, Blackpool held on for the vital win.

The return fixture of the season took place on January 12, 2011, with Liverpool travelling to Bloomfield Road, to take on Blackpool.

Liverpool was handed a perfect start when Fernando Torres scored in the 3rd minutes with a thumping strike with Martin Kelly providing the assist.

Gary Taylor-Fletcher restored parity for Blackpool in the 12th minutes when he skipped past Daniel Agger before placing the ball into Pepe Reina's net.

Blackpool got the winner in the 69th minutes through Campbell to complete the comeback.

Blackpool achieved the domestic double over Liverpool in the same Premier League season by the same results (2-1).

Despite Blackpool's feat over Liverpool, they got relegated in the same season after finishing in 19th place with 39 points.

And till today, Blackpool has failed to get a promotion to the Premier League.

Blackpool currently plies their trade in the English League One division and the possibility of Liverpool rewriting this stat is slim.
