Block Rosary Crusade: A Panacea to Depravity in Nigeria.

*Todays marks the 104 Years of Our Lady's apparition to 3 little seers at Fatima. 13th May 1971- 13th May 2021*

From 8 October,1910 when Religious Orders were expelled and their property confiscated. New Legislation banned the teaching of Religion in schools and Universities and annulled many Religious holidays. Portugal became Western Europe' most turbulent nation.

From the Monarchist invasion to the Republican regime that lead to Democratic Coup. Democratic regime was in turn overthrown by another bloody military Coup(December 1917) which later failed to pacify the feuding factions and its collapse precipitated a brief Civil War, then comes this Divine message of Peace.

Through this message, Portugal were able to survive the 1st World War and the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918, the deadliest in history, infected an estimated 500 million people.

Immediately after the Nigeria Civil War in 1971, this message of Peace came to Onitsha at *30 Oraukwu Street, Bro Boniface Oguaju as the leader and Late Monseigneur Mathew Obiukwu as the Spiritual Director.*

Then, all hope was lost, properties was destroyed, faith in God was hugely neglected because people were in penury.

The inception of Block Rosary Crusade with the MESSAGE OF PEACE from Fatima pave the way for absolute peace which brought Hope that lead the war survivors out of plight because *where there's PEACE, there must be PROGRESS.*

Block Rosary Crusade as a small group, through the help of Our Blessed Virgin Mary grown to a large group in Streets of Onitsha.

Through this group, many were returned to Catholic Faith, those who're down in Spirit were reinvigorated through the Rosary Prayer. 

As the 3 little seers was unable to read and write but only upholds the moral values taught to them by their Parents, early Leaders of Block Rosary Crusade were Primary and Secondary school dropout but the impairment did not affect their knowledge to be progressive.

The promise of Our Blessed Virgin Mary to those who recite the Rosary Prayer everyday was made explicit to them.

Some of them made their way to Seminary school while some became great scholars and traders.

The Catholic Church in Onitsha, within 10 years grown beyond expectations.

Business and Academic education in Onitsha were also recorded massive progress because Block Rosary Crusade were in the Street of Onitsha promoting moral values, nurturing children to always hope in God and Praying for the nation.

For absolute Peace to return in our nation, let's return to Cova da Iria (Our Local Centers).

Let's return the Fatima activities (Praying of Rosary and propagating the message).
