According to reports, the gunmen stormed the community in two highlander SUVs and one Sienna car on Tuesday night July 13, shooting sporadically while also setting three vehicles ablaze
The assailants abducted one unidentified young man from Uke known as Chief Philip Udala after several shots fired at him 'failed to penetrate.' He was dumped in the trunk of the vehicle and whisked away to an unknown destination.
According to report gathered by 9NEWS NIGERIA, Philip Udala, a grassroots football development guru met his untimely death when his convoy ran into a team of armed gunmen at Eke-Agu Market junction in Abatete, Idemili North Local Area.

Godsent Eriobu, Udala FC Manager and Secretary of Anambra Independent League (AIFL) who was also in the convoy was equally shot and died instantly at the scene on Tuesday.
Chairman, Anambra Independent Football League, Obinna Dike, who confirmed the death of Udala on Wednesday, said the amateur league in the state had lost two important members.
“So sad, our worst fears are becoming reality, we lost them,” Dike said.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Command, Tochukwu Ikenga, also confirmed the incident but did not give details of casualties.
